The seat of Czech kings, a fortified settlement founded by the duke Bořivoj I in the late 9th century. Currently it is an official residence of Czech presidents and a symbol of Czech statehood. It is a unique and extended monuments complex of various styles and centuries. Among the most significant monuments belong Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral / katedrála sv.Víta), Old Royal Palace / Starý královský palác, Romanesque St. George’s Basilica / basilika sv. Jiří, Golden Lane / Zlatá ulička) and Royal Gardens /Královské zahrady (open from April-October).
1/ Interior circuit of Prague Castle and Castle Courtyards: includes entry into the St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, Golden Lane. Admission: CZK 250 a person. Duration: 3H/ difficulty level easy-moderate.
2/ Exterior circuit of Prague Castle and Castle Courtyards with no entry: You will see the exteriors of the first, second, third Royal Courtyard. The exteriors of St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and Royal Gardens (April-October). Duration: 3H/ difficulty level easy-moderate.
Both tours may follow a tour of: 3H Lesser Town, 3h Old Town, 3H New Town.
