Vysehrad is fortified structural complex with basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul / bazilika sv.Petra a Pavla. It also features national cemetery Slavin for significant Czech people. Within the historical fort we can also enjoy theatre summer scene, Devil’s Column / Čertův sloup, Romanesque Rotunda of St. Martin / rotunda sv.Martina and a specious park with statues of a great Czech sculptor J.V. Myslbek. Today it represents National Cultural Monument listed by the world heritage center UNESCO. Historical fortified settlement, the seat of Czech kings and Vysehrad Chapter, later a military fort on the hill over river Vltava. Last but not least it is a place of Czech myths and legends on Czech history.
